Kami-Con is an anime convention that was founded at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL hosted by the student organization, The Bama SoS Brigade! Kami-Con has since moved to the BJCC in Birmingham, AL to accommodate growth.

We also pride ourselves greatly on our story and our two congirls, Shio and Kosho!

Kami-Con derived its name from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. This connection has also carried over to the name of the student organization that plans and runs Kami-Con, known as The Bama SoS Brigade.

Mobile, AL 36602

The Mobile International Festival has announced "Let The Games Begin" as the theme of the 31st Annual Mobile International Festival.

Festival members will focus on this year's theme through representation of games that are native to their countries. Whether a board game, play-yard game, or native sport, festival attendees will have the opportunity to test their strategy and skill at games from over 70 countries.

"Our focus this year is on the word GAMES. Members will demonstrate and share a game that originated in their native country," said Bobbie Bayne, Executive Director. "Booths will highlight a favorite homeland game and how those games utilize math and strategic thinking as part of the Mobile International Festival's dedication to STEM."

In 2012, the Mobile International Festival proudly added S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), as a key portion of their education program. In an effort to keep pace with an ever-changing world, Festival members and sponsors bring awareness to the STEM fields of study by placing an emphasis on STEM in their exhibits in a way that demonstrates real world applications from a global perspective.
